朱哲琴 Zhu Zheqin

歌手，跨界声音艺术家，独立制作人，【看见造物】创始人，联合国开发计划署2009-2011“UNDP中国亲善大使”，世界手工艺理事会“WCC世界手工艺大使”，中国首位跨音乐、设计、声音、视觉领域的艺术家。中国当代原创设计倡导者与推动者，致力于中国当代文化美学的重塑。二十多年来朱哲琴从音乐出发，开始其漫长的艺术探索之旅，近年其工作与创作已经大量介入到声音、视觉、表演，设计、传媒、公众、社群等领域。2009年与联合国开发计划署联合发起“世界看见”中国民族文化保护与发展亲善行动，2012年成当代民艺设计平台“看见造物”。

Zhu Zheqin (Dadawa) is known as a singer, multi-media artist, independent producer and founder of KANJIAN. She is WCC World Handicraft Ambassador to the World Handicraft Council and was China Goodwill Ambassador from 2009 to 2011. As an advocate and promoter of contemporary design in China, she is committed to the reconstruction of contemporary Chinese cultural aesthetics. For the past 20 years, Zhu Zheqin has embarked on an artistic exploration of music as a starting point. Her works and her work have in recent years been heavily involved in the fields of sound, image, performance, design, media, public and community. In 2009, together with UNDP, she initiated “SHOW THE WORLD SHOW THE WORLD—Culture-based Development Goodwill Action for Ethnics in China” program, which promotes contemporary design inspired by the wisdom of Chinese cultures and traditions. In 2012, she founded KANJIAN (meaning “to see” in Chinese), a design brand that uses contemporary design to revive traditional Chinese craftsmanship.
